TV Apps for Iphone

Do you remember when you had to be home to watch one of 7 channels on your TV? Then you got a VCR and you could record some shows so you could have a life. Then a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and you could watch it whenever and record whatever you wanted until your DVR is full.

But this is the digital age and things have changed. Take me for example, I cut the cord a while back, will it was years ago and it was the best thing I could have done. I did miss my shows, but I could watch them online if they were offered.  If not oh well, I just missed out on it.

But we recently got DirecTV and the DVR’s storage is about 704GB, that is a lot. I don’t have one item on that DVR, that is correct out of 704GB I will not record one thing. Why is that? Well, I watch everything online. What do I mean? Well, all the major networks have Apps like the following:

  • ABC
  • CBS
  • Fox
  • NBC
  • CW
  • History
  • Syfy
  • The USA Now
  • TNT
  • TBS

Then you have app’s like

  • Amazon Prime
  • Hulu
  • Netflix
  • Feeln
  • DirecTV
  • Xfinity
  • BYUTV
  • HGTV
  • Dish (never used this one)
  • I am sure there are a lot more out there.

Even the Roku has an APP. So you see you can watch TV anywhere at any time. If you are a big TV watcher then this is a good choice.  For me, it makes it convenient to watch what I need to. The next posts will be about the apps I use to watch TV and I will give you my OPINION on them.  So you can take them with a grain of salt or as doctrine. It is up to you. So come back and I will break down the apps for you.

I lied

So I did lie above, out of the 704 GB DVR storage I have Nash Bridges recorded. Loved that show and I am not going to pay the $9.99 a month to watch it. Well I just might do that, there are several shows I would like to catch up on.
