What is thanksgiving exactly? It is celebrated in over 6 countries around the world on various dates. It is used to be a day of Fasting. That is not how that goes now. However, you should stop and pause in your life and be thinking about what you are thankful for.
George Washington
As the first President of the United States, he proclaimed the first nationwide thanksgiving day in America be Nov. 26, 1789. Saying the following:
“as a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God”
We could go on and on about this but that isn’t what I want to talk about here.
Thankful
We all need to be thankful for what we have, especially here in 2020, it is a different year. I am thankful for the following;
- My health
- My life
- My family
- My freedom
- My right to choose
- Right from wrong
- My faith
- Something I don’t talk about much.
- My ability to blog and to express my thoughts
- For everyone that comes here to support me
I feel so blessed.
I want to add that I am thankful for all the tech out there that makes our life better.
No matter
No matter what if you don’t celebrate thanksgiving, you should all be thankful for what you have. As I said in the intro that you should stop and pause in your life and be thinking about what you are thankful for.
