We will start out the Smart Plugs with the Smart Life Plug. You never heard of it, well hopefully I will shed some light on it.
Smart Life
I am not sure how I got my hands on these plugs, I have 2 of them. I am not sure if the wife was really trying to get me something or I got them. I mean it was a couple of years ago. This is what the plug looks like.
In order to use this on your mobile phone you will have to have the following:
- iOS 8.0
- Android 4.4
I know, I know these are so old, but you never know if someone hasn’t upgraded yet.
The App
The app looks like this
Once you open it up you get the following
You get the weather and any of the plugs you have plugged in.
The one that is active is downstairs plugged into a cario. I have it programed to do the following:
- Morning time
- Comes on at 5:30 AM
- Turns off at 6:30 AM
- Nighttime
- Comes on at 8 PM
- Turns off at 10:00 PM
The schedule I found under the timer, wait how did I get to that. Well, you click on the downstairs named one (refer to the picture above) and then click timer in the bottom right.
The app has gotten better over time. When I first set this up the first time I just set it and left it. Now I can change up the schedule how I want it since it is easier to do it.
What I think
Yes, I have another one in that picture called living room it is currently sitting on my desk. I unplugged it to plug in another one so I can test that one. At first, I just set it up and forgot about it, since the app wasn’t that friendly. It worked great. Didn’t have an issue at all. Now that the app is pretty decent I am liking this one more and more. It is a circle, I am not that big of a fan, but it can plug into the socket and still plug something else in there.
They are a good little plug.
I know that this really isn’t an in-depth review. It is just an overview of my thoughts. Even if they are mixed up and all over the place.
