Small Rig Case

The Osmo Action 4 came with a case or bracket, but I didn’t like it, so I had to pick up something to help keep the camera safe.

Case it Came With

The one that came with the Adventure Creator combo

This one has the following:

• Magnetic holder for the vertical camera
• Record button
• Quick switch button

And the things it doesn’t have

• Cold shoe
• Unable to plug in the DJI mic via the USB C
  • Yes, that is true

It is also made of plastic.

It looks like a good case, but it was not what I was looking for.

Picked up

I picked up a case by Small Rig. Why this case? Well, here is what it has

• Magnetic mounts for both
  • Vertical
  • Horizontal mounting
• Removable door to gain access to the battery and SD card
• Cold Shoe holder
• Three holes to screw a tripod into
• DJI Mic can be plugged into the USB C port
  • YEA
• Access to the buttons
• Metal case

Why

I wanted the following:

• Cold Shoe
• DJI Mic can connect via USB C
• Good protection

This one is a great case, and I like it. It was what I was looking for.

Thoughts

Question for DJI: why would they create a case without:

• A cold shoe
• The ability to hook a DJI Mic to the camera

The case is nice, and this is the type of case that DJI should have made and provided in the adventure creator combo.

I really like this case, and it works for what I need it for. I recommend that you pick it up. Way to step up to the game, Small Rig.
