Netflix started out in 1997 with renting DVD’s, 925 of them to be exact all without late fees. at one point they shipped out 1 million DVD’s a day. What does this have to do with the streaming app? Well, I am getting to that.
They started to move away from the DVD model they built the company on when they started streaming video over the internet. They have come a long way from where they have started.
I have set up profiles on NetFlix so that we each can have our own shows. So that means that I can have the shows I like and my wife can have hers and the kids can have theirs. Netflix offers a variety of shows and movies. I just watch Travelers and that by doing that it gave me some recommendations:
- Frequency
- Continuum
- 3%
- Touch
- Colony
- Between
- Glitch
- Helix
- The 4400
- Dark matter
- Maximum Ride
- The Legends of Tomorrow
- Person of Interest
- And so on
It gives you the option of a lot of different options:
- Suspenseful TV Shows
- TV Thrillers and Mysteries
- Sitcoms
- Crime Movies
- TV Action and Adventure
- TV Shows
- Dramas
- TV Thrillers
- TV dramas
- Exciting TV Shows
- Critically-acclaimed Movies
- If you can think of it, they will most likely have it.
Netflix started to block VPN connections, I guess that is why I can’t watch this at work. It is one of the popular streaming sites out there and for good reason. It has a lot of variety of things to watch.
I know I have found some good and odd shows to watch. Some of them are stupider than stupid. But they are interesting. However, it is a data hog and it takes up bandwidth, a lot of it. According to my ISP, Netflix takes about 90% of the bandwidth of the service and they have a separate cable just for Netflix.
I like Netflix and I would recommend this app to anyone, just don’t stream it over your mobile network unless you have an unlimited plan.
