Floating Shelf’s

I’m not sure when we picked up the floating shelves. It has been a while. But let’s talk about them.

Floating Shelves

I found these in a tote, so they might have been when we lived at the other house—but I’m not sure. I thought I would add them to my office due to the lack of shelving in that room. I thought they would be a good addition to the space.

They look like this

They came in a set of three, well that is what I found anyway. Maybe we just brought three separate ones. I don’t know.

But they mount to the wall via some screws in a drywall anchor. But these drywall wall anchors suck. You do have to use some tools to mount them. I placed them here behind the door on the front wall.

Why There

I just thought that was a good place to place them, as that is where I had some room on the walls. My wife doesn’t really like where I placed them or that I have stuff in that room, since it is the first thing people see when they walk in the house: my office.

I think the first thing they see is whoever answered the door. But what do I know?

Thoughts

They are a nice addition to the office and can display some of my items. Sometimes, that is just too much for some people to handle. But I have a lot of things, and I just want to make some place my own since I have never had a space for myself since I got married.

They look lovely, in my opinion. But to others, they might not look nice. I guess it all depends.
