This is a note-taking application that was founded in 2000 to help people take notes, create drawings store photos and it can store audio or web content.
What is Evernote
This is a cross-platform device. Wait, what do I mean by a cross-platform device or app. Well, you can use it on:
- Android
- iOS
- macOS
- Windows
It has several plans you can subscribe to:
- Free
- Sync up to 2 devices
- 25 mb max note size
- 60 MB monthly upload size
- Premium
- $7.99 a month
- Sync unlimited devices
- 200 mb Max note size
- 10 GB monthly upload limit
- $7.99 a month
- Business
- A lot of options
As I said this was founded in 2000 by Stepan Pachikov, and by the end of 2014 it got
- 2010
- $20 Million
- $50 Million
- $70 Million
- 2012
- $85 Million
- 2014
- $20 Million
Now that is a lot of money. I wish I could raise that much.
It went live on a beta on June 24, 2008 and by the time July 2011 came around it has 1 million users.
I became a member in 2012
Apps and Tools
It has the following apps or tools you can use
- Scannable
- Skitch
- Web Clipper
- You can have your email forward to Evernote as well.
- Wait, how does that work. Does all of your mail get forwarded. Well if you want it to, but why. I have a special email address that I have a rule set up in my Exchange server to send all the email from that address to Evernote.
My opinion
Of course I am going to give my opinion on this option. This is a great product and I use it a lot. I have a lot of notes in there and I have my receipts forward to Evernote so I can find them if needed. It makes it nice. My use of Evernote has evolved over the years. I really like this app. Yes, I pay for it, but don’t tell my wife.
This is my own opinion and I wasn’t paid to write this review.
